£4 billion turnover civil engineering and building contractor are looking for Project Coordinators to work within their technological advanced pre-cast concrete facility based in Worksop. The role is a Project Management style position which will manage and coordinate the utilisation & delivery of pre-cast concrete products produced in state of the art offsite manufacturing facility to be used in a wide variety of major construction and infrastructure projects.
The role would suit a graduate engineer, site engineer, design engineer or Assistant PM from either contractor or consultancy with 1 – 4 year post graduate experience who has an interest in Lean Construction and modern construction techniques especially offsite manufacturing and BIM working for a world renowned global engineering business.
Purpose of Role
The Project Coordinator shall be responsible for coordinating the preparation of the:
- Detailing Programme, with input from the CAD Team Manager,
- Production Programme, with input from the Operations and Production Leader,
- Project Delivery Programme, with input from the client team,
- Procurement schedule, with input from the Procurement Manager.
The Project Coordinator shall liaise and communicate with NPI and Conformance teams, to ensure all quality benchmarks and specifications are available to meet the Production Programme.
The Project Coordinator shall become the contact with the client, reporting status against the contract programme.
The Project Coordinator has a direct influence on the activities of other key team members such as planning, design, production and commercial to ensure timely completion of their works.
The Project Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring that the contract is delivered within budget, on time and in full. Also working with the commercial department on any variations to the original agreed programme and scope of works.

Advanced Pre-cast concrete manufacturing facility
The facility is the most advanced facility of its type in Europe completely BIM enabled, employing the most modern of construction techniques this really is the future of construction. The facility produces precast concrete building products for all the projects this major contractor work on. They can produce whole walls, beams, floors, concrete abutments, drainage, columns, chimney stacks, stairs you name it they can produce it from standard components to very bespoke architectural products.

Major Objectives
Ensure all activities by other team members such as CAD Team leaders, Design. Engineering, planning, procurement, operations and commercial staff are fully coordinated enabling timely scheduling of production activities to achieve the agreed contract programme.
Person Profile
Ideal candidate would either be an engineer working for a main contractor on civil or building projects or an engineer working for a design consultancy either with RE or design experience though other construction related experience will be considered.
Essential
- Professional background holding Technical Engineering (structural / Civil/building) Qualification; Degree/HND/HNC
- Competent in the use Microsoft office software
- Ability to read drawings. technically familiar with manufactured components.
- Good communication skills both orally and in writing
- Good organisational skills, ideally with some project management experience on a small project or section of a project.
Desirable
- Competent in the use planning software
- Competent in the use of Navisworks
- Competent in the use of SAP
- Competent in the use of TIM

- Fully accredited Chartership training programme for both Civil Engineering & Building available, including design placements and expert mentors at the Worksop facility
- Once you have started you will have a training and development interview to highlight essential training needed to fulfil the role and also training you would like to do to fulfil your future aspirations – this could be from BIM training, Temporary Works, health and safety etc. or even an MSc for certain candidates.
- Training and development very important to the company displayed by the fact the training budget was not cut during the recent recession.

Salary
Salary depending on experience and competence £26 – 32,500 + pkg
