Are you an Architectural BIM Coordinator or an Architectural Ass/Technician with some coordination experience & ready for the step up? With a keen interest in BIM, technology and have strong modelling skills?
We are Recruiting for an Architectural BIM Coordinator for a National UK multi-disciplinary construction & property consultancy working within their dedicated BIM / Digital Engineering Consultancy. Able to consider an Architectural Assistant with some coordination experience looking for the step up, or an existing Architectural BIM Coordinator seeking a role in a new environment to join an award-winning digital engineering team and deliver some of the UK’s most exciting construction projects. Working with high-profile clients in sectors ranging from defence, manufacturing, healthcare, residential, cultural, education, and motorsport (Formula 1) with construction values anywhere from £5M to more than £500M. The role will service their highly thought of Architectural discipline.

The Digital/BIM ConsultancyThe Digital Engineering team is an independent and growing team of 10+ digital engineers of varying levels which has enjoyed many successes including year on year growth, shortlisted for the BIM & Digital Initiative of the Year at the Building Awards & BSI BIM certified ISO (phone number removed)& 2. Although working on commissions for the Architectural practice you will be part of this forward thinking tech enabled BIM Consultancy and and be able to learn and develop you digit skills.

Location & Agile WorkingThe BIM Team is located from Birmingham, Bristol, London, Oxford, Manchester or Reading offices, location is flexibale as they operate an agile working policy, normal for people to work 2 / 3 days from home.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Setting up Architectural Revit projects to align with the project standards
- Attend BIM Kick-off meetings
- Assist the digital engineering team to test new software applications and make informed decisions on their usefulness for the architectural discipline
- Assist project teams to deliver architectural BIM projects to the project standards
- Work directly on architectural projects to assist with complex modelling tasks or workflow setup
- Be the go-to person in the office for architectural Revit and BIM queries
- Help new starters by leading the architectural Induction process
- Report to the Digital Engineering team any findings or improvements that can be made in the Architectural discipline
- Assist the architectural project teams to coordinate their models with the other Ridge disciplines
- QA/QC check Architectural models before issuing to the CDE
- Promote the use and continuous development of BIM processes and workflows
- Collect and report lessons learnt on architectural BIM projects

Personal Attributes:
Excellent interpersonal, communication, listening and presentation skills both verbal and written.

Ability to work on multiple projects and stay organised.
Interest in software applications and how best to use them.
Experience and skills in a variety of areas including;
- Experience in design, drafting, modelling and visualisation; creating and editing BIM models.
- Experience using and managing BIM Collaborate Pro.

Experience adhering to a BIM Process to the ISO 19650 series including:
- Interpreting and understanding BIM Documentation such as AIR, EIR, BEP documents
- A clear understanding of the Task Team role
- TIDP Creation and management
- Involvement in BIM Coordination sessions such as Clash Detection/Resolution
- Data exchange using a variety of CDE (Autodesk Construction Cloud, Asite)

High level of skill using Revit including:
- Creating fully parametric Revit families
- Setting up projects, using shared coordinate systems and Phasing
- Creating federation strategies for complex/Large projects
- Working with the Autodesk Construction Cloud; Docs, Model coordination, Design Collaboration
- Experience using and managing Autodesk Construction Cloud.
- Experience using 2D CAD software such as AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of any of the following would be advantageous: NBS Chorus, Classification - Uniclass, Navisworks/ACC Model Coordination/Solibri, Dynamo, Python/python scripting, Marco writing/ c# .NET scripting, 4D/5D BIM application and process, Experience in delivering COBie both via IFC and the BIM Interoperability Tools COBie tool, Rhino/Grasshopper, Sustainability tools such as OneClickLCA, Dashboards and Powerbi
Qualifications & Experience:
Some industry experience, ideally within a consultancy/private sector practice as Architectual BIM Coordiantor with strong modelling skills. Will also consider an Archtiectual Techncian / Assistant with some Cooridnatin expeirence looking for the next step up.
A degree in Architecture or architectural technology-based qualification (HNC etc)
Worked on a multitude of projects throughout the RIBA Stages 3 to Stage 5.
Worked on a multitude of different project sectors such as Educational, Healthcare, Industrial, Residential, and Commercial, which would be advantageous.
