- What you'll be doing:
Looking for a qualified account to work for Veolia at the Pitsea Recycling Centre this is a varied role preparing monthly management accounts. Contract is signed off for 5 months and likely to be extended or go permanent.
Reporting into the regional Financial Controller this is a varied role preparing monthly management accounts, forecasts and budgets for all business operations at Pitsea Recycling Centre. Interaction with sales staff to analyse commercial tenders and assist with the annual audit processes.
Key responsibilities:
- Production of monthly management accounts delivered to tight deadlines together with sound analysis and investigation of results and variances for a number of operational units.
- Regular site visits and integration with operations to ensure accurate financial reporting and support to business development is achieved.
- Provide support to business operations in preparation for annual budgets and forecasts.
- Carry out completion of balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis.
- Interaction with key sales staff to analyse commercial tenders in terms of profitability.
- Carry out analysis of asset register and preparation of any business cases.
- Provide support to annual audit processes.
- Carry out any ad hoc project work as it necessary to support the business objectives.
- Preparing annual budgets and forecasts.
- Assisting the Financial Controller with group reporting and the annual audit process.
What are they looking for:
- Fully Qualified Accountant (i.e. CIMA/ACCA/ACA), or nearing qualification and can preform duties of a qualified account as detailed above – prepare management accounts, financial reporting, prepare budgets & forecasts, balance sheet reconciliations, support with audit process.
- Excellent spreadsheet skills - including pivot tables and advanced formulae.
