- High Speed 2 is looking for Assistant Third-Party Agreement Manager who could come from any commercial background – Quantity Surveyor / Procurement / Contract Management/ Graduate Commercial Manager and you will work within the 20 strong Third Party Agreements Team who are responsible for negotiating and drafting bespoke Third-Party Contractual Agreements with third parties such as: local authority, utilities (stats authorities), Network Rail, Highways Agency, landowners, Airports etc. Open to people from client, PQS, contractor or developer background.
This is an interesting very varied vitally important role without which HS2 simply would not happen working right across the HS2 programme, and helps develop skills in commercial management, contracts, legals, negotiation and complex stakeholder management.
Job Purpose:
Assist in the negotiation, development and embedding of contractual arrangements with selected third parties e.g. for the protection, diversion and connection of third party assets, to facilitate the construction and operation of the HS2 network.

Work Situation - Hybrid
The site office location is Euston Station. There is a flexible hybrid working model working 2 days a week from the office. Overall this is a very flexible modern employer who cares about delivery not where you deliver from, however, if you wish to be based front the office more you can.

London £44,000 - £52,000 + Pen(6/12) + 25 hols (mid point £48,702)
Accountabilities
- Manage the development and approvals of a portfolio of standard third party agreements and assist in the development of new and complex agreements through the life-cycle stages from identifying the business need to contract award drawing, on internal and external resources as required;
- Maintain the pipeline reports and register through regular updates, ensuring it is accurate and complete, and provide monthly reports to the Head of Commercial Agreements which evidence successful delivery of projects.
- Support the achievement of assurance and governance requirements of all commercial agreement deliverables as defined within the HS2 Construction Procurement Handbook.
- Support preparation of materials for boards and committees, as required, in order to secure ‘buy-in’ and respond to challenge and scrutiny.
- Engage with other Directorates promoting compliance with procurement and third party agreement processes and identify requirements for third party agreements, and provide support in devising programme for delivery and implementation.
- Support the implementation of awarded agreements within relevant business teams.
- Apply agreed commercial models for charging by third parties and/or pricing of HS2 services in developing agreements, ensuring compliance with Managing Public Money guidelines and driving best value.

Required Criteria
Interested in talking to candidates with commercial experience within Infrastructure / construction you could be a Quantity Surveyor / Procurement / Contract Management/ Graduate Commercial Manager, commercial analyst, and could be working for client, PQS, contractor, consultant or developer. Preferred experience would be utilities, highways authorities, rail companies, local authorities and working in a regulated sector such as rail or utilities or public sector / government funded would also be an advantage.
Although interested in talking to anyone who has contractual understanding, Knowledge of commercial / pricing models, Experience of compiling commercial documents, coupled with a growth mindset, can do attitude and excellent communication skills
