Logistics / Fleet Analyst is required for a 6-month contract to work for the Client Organisation responsible for the New High-Speed Rail project in the UK this is a multi-billion-pound high-speed railway to directly link the city centres of: London, Birmingham, Leeds and Manchester. They are looking for a Data expert who has experience working within Logistics / Fleet on major Rail / Construction Projects. Good chance the contract will be extended,
The role is to provide HS2 and its stakeholders data and information to support assurances and environmental minimum requirements relating to construction vehicle flows, especially HGVs, to all construction sites on the HS2 route, utilising the vehicle monitoring system (VMS).
Work Situation – Hybrid
The office location is Birmingham Snowhill or London Euston they operate a flexible hybrid working model with plans to be working 4 days a fortnight from the office. Overall, this is a very flexible modern employer who cares about delivery not where you deliver from, however, if you wish to be based front the office more you can.
Fleet / Logistics Analyst £600 A Day INSIDE IR35Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure that assurances related to construction vehicle movements are compliant with provisions of the HS2 Phase One Act regarding flow limits. Movements to sites must comply with restrictions outlined in Schedule 17 of the Act.
- The provision of vehicle movement data to local highway authorities and other statutory stakeholders as required and to demonstrate compliance with the Act and to inform decisions on matters such as road repairs and maintenance.
- The provision of information to Community Engagement in response to enquiries and complaints from stakeholders and the public.
- The provision of data to other HS2 support functions; notably Technical Services to support assurances related to air quality and safety.
- Establishment of automated data links with principal contractor’s delivery management systems to ensure timely and robust information uploads to support assurance reporting.
- Development and establishment of a continuous improvement process with main and station works principal contractors working towards, for example, more accurate forecasting, vehicle safety & driver training compliance and data accuracy.
- Management of the vehicle movement data required to provide assurances through the vehicle management system (VMS). This includes liaison with ICT to maintain and lead developments and enhancements to the system
Skills Knowledge & Experience
Ideal Candidate - Looking for Superb Data Analysis Skills, knowledge of IT system including Dynamics 365 & Experience of logistics management of large engineering / construction projects.- Superb Data Analysis Skills - Able to quickly and effectively analyse and report on qualitative and quantitative data.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficient use of IT systems, especially Excel and preferably, experience of Dynamics 365.
- Able to work methodically and accurately.
- Experience of logistics management of large engineering construction projects, preferably specifying and using vehicle booking and management systems.
