Description
As a Requirements Database Manager working on the UK’s High Speed New Build Project you will be responsible to develop and manage DOORS database through the lifecycle phases of the programme to enable effective requirements management across the organisation and the supply chain.
 
About the role:
 
  • Oversee the management of the Requirements Management System to deliver effective traceability from Sponsor and Stakeholder requirements into the emerging design;
  • Develop Database management documentation to control for a multi-disciplinary teams to support System Engineering, Standards Management and Safety requirements;
  •  Supporting the relationship with stakeholders and third parties in agreeing processes for the transfer and capture of their requirements;
  • Engage with the HS2 Directorates to define and develop database solutions to enable the specification and integration of requirements and capture acceptance evidence throughout the project;
  • DOORs baselining, import and export to support review and configuration management; Supporting the document review process and liaison with configuration and standards managers to ensure validity of linked artefacts
  • Access control for a database of >80 users
  • Development and provision of training solutions for users across different locations 

About You:
  • Qualified to Degree/HND level (or similar) in relevant subject, and working towards becoming a Chartered Engineer in an appropriate discipline (or comparable qualification in Systems Engineering).
  • Demonstrable experience in database management and administration on major projects and working with sponsors, supplies and other major stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable experience in the use and application of requirements and verification processes for major projects.
  • Demonstrable expertise in the creation, development and validation of major schemes scope descriptions, requirements breakdown structures and reporting.
  • Demonstrable experience in understanding training needs, developing appropriate content and carrying out user training
