Description

Data and Information Advisor is required working within the Client Organisation responsible for the New High-Speed Rail project in the UK this is a multi-billion-pound high-speed railway to directly link the city centres of: London, Birmingham, Leeds and Manchester. The role is based within The Euston Partnership which is a non-corporate collaboration between Network Rail (NR) Infrastructure Limited and High Speed 2 (HS2) Ltd, under sponsorship from the Department for Transport (DfT) to optimise outcomes from the estimated £7.5bn public investment in Euston. Other stakeholders include TFL, Lendlease to name a few.

The Data and Information Advisor will be responsible for all aspects of data and information (CAD, GIS, Asset Data, Document Control) for The Euston Partnership and integrating the BIM models for the Euston Campus, including establishing an information management plan that is in line with existing High Speed 2 and Network Rail standards. They will also use this data and information to carry out analysis, particularly regarding the cost integration.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with Heads of BIM & Digital Engineering of multiple leading organisations (Network Rail, TFL, Lendlease) working within the Euston Partnerhip at a very early stage, which, will grow significantly with excellent promotional opportunities – this is a great opportunity for Data and BIM savvy individuals looking to develop their career within Information/Data Management on one of the largest projects in Europe.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

· Responsible for the integration of the BIM models for the Euston Campus programme models and use this to manage the cost integration to carry out analysis.

· Establish The Euston Partnership information management strategy in line with existing HS2 and NR standards.

· Responsible for design of multiple data models and specifications that fulfils the needs of The Euston Partnership (TEP).

· Responsible for Data Architecture development and design for TEP, integrating with existing HS2 and NR.

· Develop guidance on different aspects of data and information for TEP directorates, to promote awareness of good practice and consistency across a diverse range of stakeholders.

· Responsible for ensuring information across TEP is managed effectively and efficiently.

· To be accountable for any data and information-based reporting to stakeholders, as relevant.

· Be the point of contact for all data and information support for the Delivery teams.

· Actively promote and embed Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in all your work, and support and comply with all organisational initiatives, policies and procedures on EDI.

 

Candidate Criteria

 

 

Skills:

 

· Ability to apply principles and methods to information management, modelling and data security, including understanding the approaches and consequences to data creation, transformation and visualisation.

· Ability to undertake data profiling and source system analysis; and able to present a rationale to colleagues to support the end use of the data.

· Ability to identify areas of innovation in data tools and techniques, and recognise appropriate timing for adoption.

· Ability to ensure data governance supports changes to the organisational strategy or corporate services.

· Ability to develop and set data standards for an organisation.

· Ability to anticipate problems, prevent them and design resolutions across a complex organisation; articulating these solutions to others to help develop their problem-solving capabilities.

· Ability to lead on, design, and review solutions to complex problems with system architectures by defining and challenging patterns and principles.

Knowledge:

 

· Applicable UK Building Information Modelling guidance and best practice.

· Understanding of relevant data and information regulations and legislative framework.

 

Experience

· Experience in managing data and information requirements in multi-disciplinary environments, on large and complex major projects/programmes.

· Relevant qualification to a degree level or the equivalent experience.
