- Description
- Regional BIM Manager reporting to the BIM Director and to the Regional Design Director responsible for BIM both on live projects & bids covering work coming from the London region based from the London offices. The role is 80% project 20% strategic supporting the development of BIM.
You will be responsible functionally for BIM in the London region - you will set up contracts, advise (clients, supply chain, & internally), train, enable the site teams and ensure the principal designer meets its responsibility as BIM Coordinator. Typically responsible for 6 live projects at any one time.
Working both public and private sector with a proven track record in all their core markets: commercial and mixed-use developments, education and student accommodation, heritage, local authority frameworks, inner-city residential, senior living, industrial and research, there also experts in sustainability. Projects range in value typically from £10m - £200m.
Please note for the initial 6 months you will be covering work in the Northern Home Counties division based from Luton, although, would only need to go to office 1 / 2 a week. Managing project such as the £80m New Build and refurbishment of the National Laboratories.
Flexible working is on offer the focus for the role is delivery. You will be required to undertake training and give BIM expertise on tendered which will require being present at regional offices, however, you will manage your own diary and workload accordingly.

BIM Credentials - BSI BIM Level 2 accredited, full Directorship buy in and BIM fully built into the companies processes & governance.
Key Accountabilities will include:
- Maintain an up to date knowledge of industry developments, best practice and innovations.
- Support the implementation of BIM processes and standards across the business in line with the company strategy.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of BIM documentation to ensure alignment with business policy and industry standards.
- Support the design and delivery of project specific BIM plans during the work winning phase and through the life of each project.
- Carry out reviews of supply chain to assess their competence.
- Support project teams to ensure the successful implementation of processes and tools.
- Participate in staff training to raise BIM awareness and competence across the business.
- Keep abreast of the latest tools and technologies available in the market to ensure the BIM strategy is market leading and deliverable.
- Measure, monitor and report progress against agreed targets and KPI’s.
- Perform BIM technical audits
- Participate in testing the effectiveness of software applications and advise on their suitability.
Candidate Requirements:
- Seeking confident, diligent professional BIM Manager well versed in BIM Level 2
- Experience working in a BIM Level 2 environment
- Seeks BIM professional with contractor experience (or project delivery experience) with building project experience
- Good communication skills with the ability to be a key influencer who is able to deliver and change behaviours when required.
